There's only one person I can blame for giving me some semblence of a conscience. I was shacked up with him in a cave for three months and suppose that's just enough time for the right person to make the wrong kind of person turn over a new leaf. He was pretty sneaky about it too. Would have made a damn good confidante.
He didn't have to say much, but in the short few words Yinsen said on the subject, it made me realize that what I was doing wasn't for the best interest of anyone. In fact, while I was thinking of the next latest and greatest weapon to help save our America men and women of war from the enemy, I was killing innocent people who were just trying to get away.
I was even a victim of myself.
After he went out of his way to make sure
I got out of there, I understood that second chances don't come often for alot of people. They get one chance, Carpe Diem and all that jazz, right? Well the fool made sure I got out alive, albeit a little bruised and broken in some spots but alive none the less. He knew I was capable of changing things around and had a bit of faith in me when no one else did. Well, asides from Pepper Potts, which is an entirely different world altogether.
I can't let him down and more importantly, I won't forget. Any of it.
